The State of North Carolina passed a law effictive January 1, 2010 requiring a Carbon Monoxide Detector in all rental properties with gas, and oil heat. There are other factor deteming this law and you will need to read and make yourself aware of all these factors to see if your rental home may need a Carbon Monoxide Detector.

The E.P.A. also has made changes to its lead paint safty laws. All property owners that rent or lease property will need to be aware of these upcoming changes and how they  affect repairs, and maintenance of there properties. Begining April, 2010
